Come Play with AI Together!
Jacky Chen, founder and head coach of LeadingAI ministry in the United States, specially led his team to Victory Church in Hsinchu, Taiwan, to hold an "AI Parent-Child Learning Camp," introducing children to AI (artificial intelligence) while also helping them gain a correct understanding of the Christian faith and AI.
This unique event was held on July 13, 2025, using robots, AI painting, and AI track racing to allow dozens of children on site to "play" while experiencing applied technology. They were extremely enthusiastic, proactively approaching Coach Jacky to operate the robots, eagerly sharing their creative concepts for AI paintings, and several children were willing to learn how to control AI race cars on their own initiative. Laughter filled the classroom one after another!
Artificial intelligence was only one of the main themes of the activity. Coach Jacky also used the statement "God created humans, humans created machines" to introduce another key focus of the event: faith. He emphasized that God created humans in His own image and likeness, endowing people with wisdom and ability, enabling them to create various things, including AI.
Life education
Inspired by the vast revelation of the Bible and the universe, he quoted Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” He encouraged children and parents not to fear new technologies or the future, but to hold on to hope and learn and use them according to God’s will.
The original purpose of the parent-child camp is to integrate God-given values into AI learning and games, so that children, while having fun, can understand who created them—it is God who created us!
Coach Jacky further emphasizes combining faith with technology learning: "It's not just about letting children play with AI and games. It's about using these media and tools to integrate the holistic values God has given us into the use of AI and games."
Coach Jacky encouraged parents who brought their children to the event to encourage their children to actively ask questions and think, and to learn how to communicate with their children, affirming the imagination and creativity that children demonstrate through artificial intelligence tools. Of course, most importantly, they should lead their children to know God.
LeadingAI's VBS (Vacation Bible School) summer camp in the United States allows children to learn while playing. Through tools like robots, children discover that older brothers and sisters in the church are willing to help them learn new technology. During the children's play process, parents also learn how to communicate with their children, which can be said to kill several birds with one stone.
This parent-child camp is also an attempt to teach through life itself. Coach Daniel Chen drew from his personal experiences, professional expertise, and biblical teaching to encourage children to explore, learn, and use new technologies. He hopes that through his own life, he can influence and guide children to know the wisdom and hope that come from God the Creator. He also looks forward to seeing more people in God’s kingdom creatively use technology as a tool to reach their communities and serve others.
