The water flows as before, but time is different.
Preface

On an early spring morning, a streak of crimson in the sky called me out of my room.
Walking in the crisp air, the small town was half-asleep, half-awake, with birds chirping on the trees by the roadside. The sky gradually grew lighter. When the sun suddenly leaped out from behind the clouds, the world instantly became radiant, with trees and flowers glowing. The green and gray clouds transformed into silver and white, floating in the clear blue sky, while the clouds closest to the sun turned into shimmering hues of colored light.
Beautiful! As soon as the sun rises, not only does the darkness retreat, but everything undergoes a miraculous transformation. The ordinary gains a new radiance; the black-and-white world is now filled with color...
When the "sun" enters the heart, enters relationships, it is the same.
Life is lived in relationships — harmonious relationships, tense relationships; intimate relationships, or distant ones... A person born with a desire for freedom, living in society, cannot escape relationships. Freedom without good relationships is called wandering; freedom with good relationships is called happiness.
This book discusses relationships in three main parts: the "Starry Sky" section — the relationship between man and God; the "Self" section — the relationship between man and himself; and the "World Affairs" section — the relationship between man and others. In terms of writing, some parts are rational, while others are emotional. These are some of my reflections on relationships over the years, which were previously published in various magazines such as Kingdom, True Love, Literature and Communication, and Zhongxin. Some changes may have been made when compiling them into this book.
When compiling this into a book, some of the words reminded me once again of the feelings and insights I had back then. It allowed me to bathe once more in the light of the morning sun and realize that bathing in sunlight is a continuous need. If we can consciously make time for regular "sunbaths," it will surely bring a positive change to our lives.
I am grateful to the editors who contributed their professional insights and hard work to these articles. I thank the brothers, sisters, and friends who have inspired and helped me along the way. I also thank my daughter, Jia Jia, for designing the cover of this book, which adds a layer of meaning to this book about relationships that I truly love. I am grateful for the encounters, whether smooth or challenging, that God has allowed. Above all, I thank Him for becoming the light in my heart, guiding me along the way, making my journey better and better, and making life beautiful and worthwhile.
I also hope that your encounter with this book is not by chance. May some of its content cause you to pause and reflect, and even more, may it enter your heart and accompany you on your journey through life.
