Gratitude and Calling After the 2026 Retreat

Every year, KRC holds an in-person spring retreat—a gathering of the KRC family that combines spiritual nurture, training, and rest. The 2026 retreat was held in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and just concluded on April 19. Since returning from the retreat, I still find myself savoring its many moments, again and again, and giving thanks for the many wonderful works the Lord accomplished in our midst.

As in years past, old friends and new gathered together this year—some who had taken part from the very first retreat back in 1999, and others newly joined to the team, full of energy. Everyone seemed to fit right in with no sense of distance, quickly finding their place within the KRC family.

This time, the retreat was largely planned and run by the younger members of the team. Not only did new staff and new board members join in, but old friends we hadn't seen in years also traveled from afar to be there. This kind of cross-generational, cross-regional gathering let us once again witness God's ongoing work and leading within KRC.

This year's theme centered on the sweeping wave of AI, examining it from a variety of angles, and humbly seeking, under the Holy Spirit's leading, to learn how we can actively use this tool to serve God, lead others, and influence lives—without ourselves being controlled by it.

Each year, when we gather together, we experience the truth that “iron sharpens iron,” and the interaction invariably produces sparks of inspiration. This year’s discussions generated a number of concrete ideas regarding ministry models, new workshop initiatives, and the development of a more effective and functional website. After the retreat, the work did not stop. Team members continued to turn those ideas into reality, while various groups remained actively engaged through online platforms and collaboration tools, communicating across distances and steadily moving projects forward.

As the founder of KRC, now entering its twenty-seventh year, my most urgent prayer is that the Lord would call brothers and sisters who are willing to commit themselves to the cultural mission of God’s Kingdom. Together, through KRC, we seek to discover, connect, develop, and mobilize people, while integrating resources such as talent, finances, information, and expertise. Through print and digital media, conferences and retreats, and online learning platforms, we desire to bear witness to Kingdom values in the digital age—living them out with both courage and humility. In doing so, we pray that God will use these efforts to extend our influence for His glory and advance His Kingdom.

Therefore, I ask the Lord to provide the right people, the various gifts and talents, and the financial resources needed, so that we may faithfully pass this KRC baton on to the next generation. This will be the most urgent task I need to accomplish in the years ahead, and it will also require your prayers and participation.

Please continue to follow KRC Workshops for information about upcoming online courses and be sure to register and participate. I also encourage you to listen to the Kingdom Voice Magazine podcast on platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Hearing these articles read aloud has often given me fresh insights and inspiration, and it has become one of my favorite programs to listen to before going to sleep. In addition, please visit the Kingdom Treasure Hunt YouTube channel, which was launched last year. Be sure to watch, like, subscribe, and share the content with your family and friends.

And I must make special mention of this issue of the magazine. Every article is so rich in content and insight that it is almost impossible to recommend just one. Please do not miss a single article.

In addition, I earnestly invite you to support KRC financially by joining the ranks of the Kingdom Warriors, committing to give at least US$1,000 annually to KRC. We need at least 300 brothers and sisters to become Kingdom Warriors in order to accomplish the work that must be completed this year. At present, nearly 90 Kingdom Warriors have already joined us, but we still need 210 more to become part of this important effort.

May the Lord Himself move hearts, call forth, and raise up those whom He has prepared. May He grant KRC a clear vision, a united spirit, faithful co-workers, and abundant provision, so that in this generation we may continue to carry out the cultural mission of God's Kingdom with courage and humility, becoming useful instruments in His hands.

May all glory, honor, and praise be given to our Father in heaven.
