Abundance in the Ordinary

In my memory, whenever I visited my grandmother with my parents when I was a child, I would always stay for dinner. Grandma's dinner was always rich, especially the neatly arranged set of tableware, which made people feel warm and heartwarming. Everyone has a rice bowl, a small soup bowl, a small plate with dipping sauce or fish bones, a porcelain spoon and a pair of chopsticks. Everyone sat down and thanked each other for the meal before moving their chopsticks. Dinner always makes me feel rich, beautiful and warm.

This habit has stayed with me until now. Even though I have an extremely busy life every day, I still insist on setting all the tableware neatly for dinner, so that everyone can sit down, thank each other and eat together.

When friends come to visit, they always kindly advise me to keep it simple, why bother? It is even recommended to use disposable tableware and throw them away after use. Wouldn’t it save time and trouble? I always decline my friends' offers. Because I firmly believe that when we are willing to put more thought and effort into our lives, it can help us experience the richness and beauty of ordinary life, making our spirituality sharper and our lives more colorful. And when we are willing to use more ingenuity for others, we will bring abundant blessings to other people's lives.

Grandma's dining table always has a way to serve all kinds of unexpected guests. No matter whether they are distinguished guests, celebrities or wandering people, they are all honored guests at grandma's dining table. Her table has fed many hungry bodies, comforted the hearts of prodigal sons, and encouraged those who were frustrated and discouraged. Even though she suffered financial hardships repeatedly, she still remained true to her original intention and gave generously. Grandma will always be rich.
