Rely on God’s help in distinguishing between dreams and desires

The 28th issue of "Kingdom of God" "Should I Buy a Beach House" inspired me a lot. My daughter who lives in California is very dissatisfied with her house, which even affects her daily mood. As a mother, I would only ask her to read the Bible, pray, and hand over her difficulties to God.

After reading this article, I gained God’s principles and guidance. Know how to let my daughter return to her original life and learn to be more joyful in the Lord. I hope this lesson can help her eliminate waste and keep the good, so that the seeds she planted on good soil will "grow up and bear fruit, yielding a harvest of a hundredfold, of sixty, and of thirty" (Matthew 13: 8) .

Touching testimony of life

The article "Please Stand on My Shoulders" in the relationship section of the 28th issue of "Kingdom of God" describes the couple Dr. Edward Palm & Dr. Connie Palm. After completing the seminary courses and engaging in education for many years, they continued to serve as missionaries in Taiwan for ten years. They influence lives with their lives in daily life, teaching, and work. In particular, Dr. Pang was willing to listen to the problems of female students and even brought an extra handkerchief every day for urgent needs. Such subtle and timely help has become a comfort and supporter for students.

The message delivered by such a master goes far beyond the teachings from the podium. It comes from the sincere concern of Christians, which is very touching.

wonderful Life

"The Wonderful Woman on the Nile" Irene Maurer received the award in 2009. She has served God faithfully for sixty years!

Islamic countries are generally hostile to Christians. As early as 1949, Mao Ailing went to work in an Egyptian orphanage. He did not return to the United States until 1955. He was busy raising money and recuperating, and then went to school to take courses, share and introduce the ministry everywhere. In 1958, she went to Egypt again, and returned many times until 1982. Now at the age of eighty-seven, she still continues to write wonderful stories of life.

Mao Ailing sacrificed herself throughout her life and obeyed the Lord's orders. In that desert land of the gospel, she silently cultivated, sowed, and watered, encouraging women to face life positively, bringing them hope, and changing the lives of many women. I am deeply impressed.

broadcast angel

Reading the story of this mother Yang, her "Weaving Clouds of Witnesses with Love" inspired me very much.

Yang Honghongxiang experienced the grief of losing a husband and a son in his life. However, like the experience of Job in the Bible, he relied more on God. In her later years, God opened a new page in her life - the gospel broadcast "Glorious Morning". This on-air gospel program received an excellent response, and "Gathering of Testimonies" was released. Chinese people in Southeast Asia could not wait to enjoy this rich spiritual food. In addition to radio programs, Yang’s mother was still able to run for the Lord in her later years. She also visited prisons and gave the inmates a lot of love and hope. They were even willing to take correspondence courses in theology, and as a result, they experienced a profound change of heart.

She completely dedicated herself to God as a living sacrifice and was greatly used for the Lord. She faithfully served the people of this generation. What a glorious and abundant life!

From California to Indonesia

After reading "Cross-Cultural Commitment to Serving Indonesian Coffee Tribes", I learned that there are 90% people in Indonesia who believe in Islam. However, due to the 2004 Indonesian tsunami, Pastor Dai Huahua and his wife in Los Angeles, USA, were moved by God and were willing to lead the brothers and sisters of the church to take the initiative to care for Indonesia as far away as Southeast Asia. They formed teams to go to remote areas with inconvenient transportation, long distances, and rugged mountain roads, just for the love of the Lord, to go out and preach the gospel to them.

Although the place was full of dangers, they still experienced miracles, expelling evil spirits and healing diseases. Over the past five years, I have been praying and seeking God’s guidance, and visited the place three times. Finally, I obtained the support and assistance of the local church and served together with the coffee tribe.

Pastor Dai Huahua and his colleagues took action without any regrets, and God also opened a new and living way for them. They are really good role models for us!

Reflections after applause

The outreach unit of the 26th issue of "Kingdom of God" reported on Pastor Huang Jirong's down-to-earth service to God for forty-five years. It turns out that God has been training him for a long time. He was born in a family with inherited mental illness. He had to do housework in junior high school. He did not go well in high school and even had suicidal thoughts. Later, the Lord Jesus completely changed his values and brought him His presence and blessings. He said that during the forty-five years of service, although there were changes in personnel, workplaces, and responsibilities, the Holy Spirit repeatedly reminded him to strengthen his faith and obey the Lord. He said, "When my co-workers and I began to trust and obey, God began to bless me." The Lord Himself went with him, and he found rest.

Full of love and filial piety

At the end of 2011, the 23rd "Christmas Special Issue" of "Kingdom of God" had the theme of "Love is like the spring sun melting into the winter snow", and each article presented a warm meaning of "love". I read the specially invited article - "Thrilling as I Open the Page" in one breath, and I was very moved! The article revolves around accompanying my eighty-eight-year-old mother, who has limited mobility, to visit her old friends who are still alive in the place where my father once worked, and fulfills her mother's wish.

"When our parents are getting older, what else can we do to help them move towards a more beautiful hometown beyond the sunset?" These words have always been lingering in my mind and I can't get rid of them! Thinking of my parents getting older, as a Christian, how can I help them "move towards a more beautiful hometown beyond the sunset"? Thoughtful!
