Let the watcher not be alone
My parents lived in New York. There was a safety island in the middle of the street in front of their house, so cars could only go to the end of the street and then go back around. So my father developed a habit: whenever we went out, he would always stand on the roadside and wait for our car to turn around and pass by, wave to us repeatedly, and then go into the house. From when I was working as a girl, to getting married and having children, and even later often flying from New York to serve around the world... His figure standing there waiting to wave was so ordinary, so ordinary that I took it for granted, as if it had been like this forever! Until three years ago, he suffered a stroke and collapsed, and could only move inch by inch with the help of others. This waving figure no longer existed.
yes! Watchmen are often lonely and neglected. However, as a guardian of culture, "Kingdom Resources for Christ Association" has received special grace from the Lord and has prepared for us a faithful and insightful team of volunteers, dedicated intercessors, donors, camp participants and magazines Authors, readers, interviewees, and distributors make it possible for us to not be too lonely in our hard work, so that we can persevere from 2004 to now.
Christmas 2012 is coming. In this season that emphasizes love and warmth, we firmly believe that Heavenly Father will move more friends of KRC like you who are full of vision, sense of mission, and are willing to take practical actions to support and participate in this often ignored but very divine Ministry of national strategic value.
In order to repay Heavenly Father's kindness and your prayers and support, we, as always, do our best to present in this issue full of foresight, breakthrough, challenge, application, inspiration, knowledge, and action. A wonderful masterpiece.
When I was lucky enough to be the first to read this issue of the magazine, I was really surprised, touched, and grateful. Are you ready? A series of delicacies for the soul are about to be served! —The complete AMTC interview depicting the influence of Christians in the American entertainment industry, the thought-provoking and insightful financial management torrent of relying on the Lord to win the championship (talent section); the majestic and far-sighted interview with Su Wenfeng on the challenges of the Chinese church in the United States in the next ten years ( Outreach unit); jokes about the Bible that you have never heard of but is true to justice, reporting on the mainstay of contemporary sports culture from Tebowing to Linsanity (cultural unit); caring for the disadvantaged and demonstrating the Lord’s love in the four seasons of marriage (community unit), Caring for Taiwanese foreign spouses (relationship unit)...etc.
As of the deadline for this issue, the Mid-Autumn Festival Taiwan KRC Cultural Practice Camp has just concluded successfully. Please read the report with pictures and texts on pages 49 to 52. Preparations for the small retreat and alumni reunion in Allentown, Pennsylvania, from February 28 to March 2 next year are in full swing.
