Caring about pastors’ retirement life

Thank you for your publication’s 37th issue’s community section on pastors’ retirement planning and care. This is an extremely important issue that lacks attention. I have encountered pastors and preachers who are about to retire, but the churches they serve lack a good pastoral plan or budget, and they have no choice but to sell their houses or move somewhere else.

The report not only quotes examples, but also provides practical suggestions. I am very grateful to "Kingdom of God" for its concern and reminder of this issue. When we are all planning for our own retirement life, we should also care about the retirement life of God’s servants, show our heart to Him, bless the pastors and receive God’s blessings.

Read each article to reveal the author and editor’s intentions

I really enjoy reading "Kingdom of God" magazine, and I can see the author and editor's intentions in every article. In the previous issue, the related unit visited the First Care Women's Clinic and reported in-depth on the "support-life" counseling ministry. Thank you to the author for your detailed explanation of the definition and spirit of "pro-life" and "pro-life". This report made me clarify that "anti-abortion" may be an action consciousness, but "pro-life" is an important ministry that injects love and care.

I also really liked the "Bookworm Caught in the Trap" section of the last issue's cultural unit. Teacher Ma Ruixin used clear and easy-to-read ideas to discuss modern reading qualities and habits. It was very interesting and thought-provoking.

The depth and diversity of "Kingdom of God" magazine are rare among Christian magazines. Thank you co-workers for your dedicated service.

A new type of camp full of reluctance and anticipation

After reading "Draw a break and open a new chapter" written by Li, the teacher of KRC and your unit in the 37th issue, I learned that the KRC camp will be transformed, and I felt both reluctant and looking forward to it.

I participated in the KRC Chinese Writing Camp in 2003 and took two Chinese writing classes with teacher Su Wen’an. Later, due to the expansion of the camp and the increase in the number of people, the classroom at the "Messenger" farm at that time was not enough. That was the last time I attended class at the "Messenger" Farm in Pennsylvania, and it also left a beautiful and unforgettable memory in my life.

Although I have not had the opportunity to attend KRC camps in recent years, from reading "Kingdom of God", I have more or less learned about the latest developments of several teachers and old classmates (most of them are now magazine editors).

Recently, I had the opportunity to take classes at the Pennsylvania "Messenger" Farm and saw the completion of a new education center (the second phase of the accommodation farm is still under preparation). It would be a great thing if the KRC camp could return to the "Messenger" farm for classes! I’m looking forward to the camp next March and seeing the teachers and classmates I haven’t seen for a long time!

Media missionary Peng Menghui

"Air English Classroom" has been with me for nearly ten years from junior high school to university. When I saw your magazine’s special report on Teacher Peng Menghui, I read it twice carefully. Because I really respect and love Teacher Peng Menghui from the bottom of my heart.

Teacher Peng Menghui is a handmaiden of God. For the sake of the gospel, she dedicated her youth to Jesus. She single-handedly established "Kong Ying" and "Tian Yun". At the age of 88, she also said that she would never retire in her life. It is really touching.

Thank you to "Kingdom of God" for your careful reporting, which allowed me to get to know and understand this media missionary who insists on "love lasts a lifetime".
