Meeting like a family
When you receive this issue of the magazine, it will already be summer, but I still want to share with you the KRC spring retreat in the United States and Taiwan that just passed at the deadline. Starting from the second year of the writing camp, in the early spring of every year, KRC students have a class meeting to talk about the past and the new, and encourage each other.
For the first ten years or so, the reunion was held at my home. There were twenty to thirty people, the elders sleeping on the bed, and the younger ones crowded on the sofa or on the floor. There are endless topics to talk about, rich dishes and snacks, worshiping and praying together, always making people forget to leave. Later, the number of people and the age gradually increased, and the spring class reunion/retreat was held in the hotel, with a theme and a speaker.
This year’s American Spring Retreat was held at the Messenger Association in Paradise, Pennsylvania. Explore culture under the guidance of Dr. Silzer and get to know yourself and others more deeply. In the devotional time every morning, everyone receives the Holy Spirit to achieve change and transformation in their lives.
Taiwan’s spring retreat was held this year at the newly renovated Wanli Mustard Seed Camp. During the two days, everyone shared the highlight moments of the past year, as well as the difficulties and difficulties they faced, and sought to refocus their lives. Sister Sun Fangying, who works as a companion in Neishan, Taitung, has been moved and shocked by her lively and real wonderful experiences walking with the Lord, which is a topic that everyone cannot stop talking about.
Whether it is a KRC retreat or a workshop, it is a gathering that combines spiritual cultivation, training and leisure. There are many old students who come every time, as well as new family members who are participating for the first time.
I am often asked, what exactly is KRC? What do you do? If you think of it as an institution, it's very unlike KRC! If you think of KRC as a group of people who are determined to follow Christ, they gather together like a family to learn how to develop the gifts and talents given to them by God the Father, make good use of them in family, church, and social life, and become a blessing to everyone , encourage each other to bring the culture of heaven to life, strengthen each other to grow together, and constantly explore and practice the true meaning of following Christ, that’s right!
In the 14 years since the publication of Kingdom of God Magazine, when the editors of each issue sent me proofreading manuscripts, I could not wait to preview them and was grateful for this privilege. article, and exclaimed about the wonderful works of the Holy Spirit. A team of more than a dozen fellow editors, special reporters, and many writers with different backgrounds and professions live in different corners of the earth, relying on online communication and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to complete each issue. After that, it is produced and transported by publishing houses, printing plants, customs brokers, transportation companies, mailing companies, and administrative staff of the Kingdom of God to reach the hands of you, the readers. The process is complicated, so each issue is a miracle again and again! I hope that when you enjoy reading this issue, you will feel what God the Father is saying to you.
In the past 14 years, the editorial work of the magazine has been almost entirely done by volunteers, except for payment of manuscript fees to authors. Starting from this year, after a long period of prayer and reflection, we finally relied on faith to give each co-worker a thank you gift based on the nature of the work, because work deserves to be paid. I also hope that through this action, I can express my recognition and gratitude to my co-workers. They have given their best without regrets over the years and blessed many people. Now, I invite you to come along and be their blessing. Believe that God’s word “To whomever is given, it will be given to you” is true and trustworthy.
