Become a visual communicator
[Response to the 2022 Online Text Inspiration Course]
This time, I participated in KRC's online text enlightenment course and learned that there is a "Kingdom of God" magazine compiled by Chinese in North America. The course speaker, Mr. Su Wen'an, and all the instructors are co-workers of the "Kingdom of God" magazine.
I feel that every co-worker's love and enthusiasm for writing work is the temperament and fragrance that a writing person exudes from the bottom of his heart. Especially in an era when people don't pay much attention to writing work, it is even more satisfying to meet such colleagues. Very valuable.
Most of the groups I was assigned to were co-workers from various Christian publishing houses in Taiwan, so I communicated with everyone with a learning attitude. The two instructors led the discussion very carefully and seriously, giving the students enough space to express their ideas. The group was sincere, warm, and safe. Every time I speak is a kind of learning. I express my inner thoughts through spoken language, and I gradually gain from it.
I found that the most lacking thing in past writing was the use of "language images". When reading literary works, I often marvel at the exquisite words and narration of scenes. The background may not be the main focus of the plot, but it can be the finishing touch and make the work more vivid.
I understand that the expression of "language and images" cannot be achieved overnight. It requires constant reading, imagination, observation, and writing to accumulate creative energy. I hope to improve on the language and images, use more refined text, and make the scene more graphic and three-dimensional.
I am grateful to be able to participate in the KRC writing course. It is an opportunity for me to recharge my batteries and rekindle my passion for writing when I am sometimes tired of writing work. I also started to read the "Kingdom of God" magazine online and found many articles that were thoughtful and thoughtful. Reading "Kingdom of God" brings me closer to the thoughts of KRC co-workers and understands the things they care about and are committed to. This is a very carefully edited magazine.
I was greatly inspired to see KRC colleagues discover the influence of words and the value of faith culture and continue to devote themselves to serving. I hope that I can also find something that I am interested in, passionate about, and willing to devote my life to, so that I can influence and pass on my ideas and concepts to more peers and younger generations.
