From September 21st to 24th, 2017, I took some time off from my busy schedule to attend the first "Love Neighbor Mobilization" cultural practice camp of "Kingdom Resources for Christ" (KRC) in Ashland, Boston. I received an unexpected surprise and was once again attracted by the vision of KRC's ministry. .
In 2016, the church was honored to invite Teacher Gao Lili to Boston to lead the annual Christian Text and Media Seminar, with the theme of "Looking Forward to the Future Generation." During the seminar, I deeply felt that KRC’s forward-looking ministry is like a voice in the wilderness in the Chinese Christian media. Because of this contact, when KRC held a cultural camp in Boston, I helped contact candidate venues.

The Warren Conference Center is the business conference and sports training center of Northeastern University. It is 25 miles away from the bustling Boston. It is located on a farm covering an area of 100 acres. It has scattered trees, winding paths, and indoor The venue is elegant, modern conference facilities are complete, and the meals are healthy and delicious. The originally busy conference center had not been rented out during the popular prime time period in September when KRC contacted us. It was God's special preparation that we were able to hold the camp here unexpectedly.
The biggest inspiration for me during the camp was the focus time in the morning. Teacher Li Li rewrote the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke Chapter 10 with a modern background and her own vision, transforming the good Samaritan into a Muslim who drives a luxury car in the United States. Rescue Christians who were injured by bandits in a city with poor security in the east. She called on the students to use their own creativity to describe the Good Samaritan in different situations, so as to think deeply about who are the "neighbors" who we ignore, despise, and hate, but are moved by compassion when encountering injured people. ”? How do you and I learn to love such a neighbor?

I deeply feel that we are in an era of division, opposition and hatred. There are many conflicts and resentments between countries, ethnic groups and social classes. This kind of spiritual focus reminds me to understand the heart of Jesus more, to be less judgmental and more caring, and to be more caring. We must have the courage to step out of our comfort zone and find, understand and help our neighbors outside our living circle.
One of the highlights of the cultural camp was Teacher Su Wen'an's "Watching Movies and Dramas to Learn Family Storytelling Workshop". I enjoyed several movies and dramas carefully selected by the teacher. I watched the excitement from a layman's perspective and gradually learned some skills of reading. I also figured out how to use some movie techniques in writing family stories to increase the twists and turns of the story. , sense of humor and persuasion. Our family has a tradition of watching family movies on weekends, but it is difficult to find movies suitable for children. This time, we got a list of movies that are both entertaining, technical, and rich in content, showing friendship and a positive and enterprising spirit. It is an unexpected bonus. . Before each class, I was very happy to follow Teacher Su and do his classic "Fundamental Truth Exercises" over and over again.

The most memorable thing after the camp was the impressions of the teachers, classmates and co-workers. Most of them came from outside Massachusetts, including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and even from California and Florida, which had just been hit by Hurricane Irma. They were tired from traveling and sacrificed their weekend family reunion time to serve together. Receive equipment and run for the Kingdom of God.

This is a spiritual journey that is both culturally edifying and spiritually nourishing. I am extremely impressed by their commitment and personal experiences in walking with the Lord and devoting themselves to cultural ministry. Many people have participated in every cultural camp for more than ten years regardless of rain or shine, participating in preparation, coordination, teaching or learning. Some have rich spiritual qualifications and pastoral experience, but are very humble and willing to be taught; some lend their money to fill the financial gap for the work of the Kingdom of God; some pray sincerely for me and continue to encourage me. At the dinner table, I had some conversations with several young participants, especially the young editors and authors of the English unit. I was excited by their broad spiritual vision, and also by their sense of mission for the times and their ability to work across cultures and generations. Excited about our gospel building ministry efforts.

The fulfilling cultural camp of four days and three nights quickly came to an end. The students reluctantly parted after taking a group photo and are already looking forward to next year’s camp. Several teachers packed their simple bags and hurriedly rushed to the next destination: the United States, Canada, Taiwan, and mainland China. May the Lord bless KRC and all the brothers and sisters in the cultural camp, and may they run together and never give up on the journey of walking with and working with the Lord. Next time we meet, there will definitely be more stories of the Neighbor Love Mobilization to share.
