In this rally, Christians and non-Christians, regardless of age, ethnic group, or political party, all wore white masks and took them off together, which meant that everyone no longer contented themselves with silence, but chose to sit side by side. What we are facing at this moment is that once Civil Code 972 and the "Same-sex Marriage Law" or the "Plural Family Bill" that amends relevant laws are passed, Taiwan will soon be labeled as "Asia's first country to legalize same-sex marriage." 凡經由網路或生活周遭裡提出反多元成家意見者，動輒淪為被批判的箭靶，更不由分說地被斥為仇視同性戀者，殺傷力如洪水猛獸讓人畏懼。所幸代表這次反多元成家民法修正草案而成立的「臺灣守護家庭聯盟」，不僅自2013年9月18日起發動反對該法案的連署活動²（公開兩週即有十萬人連署），更透過媒體對外陳明：「『尊重同志，反對同運』─同性戀者≠同運團體」³，亦即公開宣告了：參與同志運動的人，不一定是同性戀者，社會大眾不可小覷其中還包括性解放運動者。
