Big cake wrapped small cake
I received the 18th issue of Kingdom of God magazine, opened the cover, and unexpectedly fell out a full-color Christmas special issue. What a double blessing! This ingenuity of "big book wrapped in small book" reminds me of the "big cake wrapped in small cake" at Shilin Night Market in Taipei, which feels warm and sweet.
This black-and-white issue is just about caring for the deaf. It can actually discuss culture, ministry, family, society, mission and other different aspects. It is in-depth and comprehensive. It is really a rare handwriting among Chinese church publications. Cheers to the editorial team!

Challenging the "Three No's Policy"
After becoming a Christian, "Journey to the West" has always been classified by me as "Harry Potter" and "The Twilight Saga". It is a work of strange power, chaos, gods, and pagan magic that I don't watch and I don't allow my children to watch it.
However, after reading "Adventure in the World of Gods, Demons, Buddhas and Monsters" written by Pastor Su Wen'an in the last issue, I was greatly impacted by its creative rigor and acceptance, and began to seriously think about my own understanding of popular culture and Attitudes towards popular literature and audio-visual products. —If I want to talk about life and faith to all the sentient beings on the other side who regard all this as commonplace, but I have absolutely no contact, no discussion, and no understanding of what they read, see, think, and talk about. , how to find the entry point? Thank you for your well-intentioned inspiration!

Deaf people, God’s beloved people
I love "Kingdom of God" very much, and I'm lucky enough to have read it from the first issue to the present. When I flipped through the 18th issue and finished reading the article "Hear It, I'm Here", I felt deeply. I can’t believe that there are more than 80 million deaf and hard-of-hearing people in the world, and there are 27.8 million deaf people in China alone. They are also the largest group of unreached peoples! However, thank the Lord, a group of Christians with God's love in their hearts have established the "Agape Love Deaf Association" in the United States, South Korea, and Hong Kong to spread the gospel to deaf people, allowing them to spread their silent wings and fly over pain and suffering. Lonely. Thank you for your reporting, may God bless you twice as much!

Christmas special issue brings warm winter weather
Coming overseas, the lively atmosphere of celebrating Christmas infected us. Christmas has also become a very meaningful day for Chinese families and communities. When the weather is cold and freezing, I pray for a safe and happy holiday. I also send greeting cards to wish my close relatives and friends far away.
The fourteen essays in the Christmas special issue of "The Kingdom of God Magazine" narrate the gratitude of missing old friends, meeting strangers, and traveling with family through thick and thin during Christmas. These life stories that can be found everywhere make the unforgettable moments of Christmas flow into a long river of love in the world. Thank you to the authors who used love as the color pen to draw the glowing decorations on the Christmas tree. When the cold wind outside the window is biting, thank my friends for this piece of warmth!

Taipei Deaflympics, Overseas Chinese Care
The 18th issue of your magazine introduces the Taipei Deaflympics, so that overseas Chinese living abroad can also understand the grandeur and significance of the Deaflympics. Especially this time, the host country is Taipei, and it also makes overseas Chinese around the world feel proud.
Your magazine grasps the pulse of the times and reflects current events. In particular, the article mentions Christians participating in this Olympic hearing, which opens our horizons. I would like to express my gratitude to your journal for your hard work and dedication, and I hope that we can have a better understanding and care of deaf culture.

We heard the confessions of two hearing-impaired daughters
Although I have never had the opportunity to interact with hearing-impaired friends or hearing-impaired families, I was moved to tears after reading the confession of Mrs. Wang Meimei in the 18th issue of "Kingdom of God". How difficult that is! However, Mrs. Wang Meimei was determined to persevere and never give up. This is truly a testimony of Christian life in flesh and blood. As it is said at the end of the article: "Things that seem unfortunate to the world have caused God's children to experience transformation and growth in their lives." May the loving God continue to bless Mrs. Wang Meimei's family!

"Holding Hands" is worth savoring and pondering
The title of the 18th Christmas special issue of "Kingdom of God" is "The song of love can be sung like this", which collects fourteen love songs about life written with a grateful heart and a passionate pen. Excellent articles that make people unable to put it down. Thank God for the talents given to the writers. Only in God’s love can such a song that expresses true feelings be composed so perfectly.
My favorite among the fourteen articles is "Holding Hands" by Sister Wu Yunlan. The writing style is concise and detailed, and it is really the best short prose. The marriage of the hero and heroine begins with a beautiful lie. After the birth of their son, the conflict between the couple becomes more acute. The marriage is on the rocks, and the heroine becomes a Silicon Valley workaholic. When she dreams back at midnight, the shadow of divorce emerges, and she meets Jesus in despair... The miracle is The male protagonist becomes a preacher, and the female protagonist becomes a professional marriage and family therapist, walking hand in hand through high mountains and low valleys, towards the goal of the kingdom of God. This is a good article that testifies to God’s grace and miracles and is worth pondering!

Shorten the distance between us and the deaf
In the past, we only heard about the miracles of "the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, the mute speak..." in the gospels of the Bible. Now from "Kingdom of God" we read the good news of the deaf hearing the gospel. The progress of the times and the development of science and technology have benefited the deaf; God’s love also inspires brothers and sisters to care for people living in the silent world.
"Out of Silence" written by Sister Liu Shuman introduces the principles and applications of cochlear implants in detail. It has a novel idea and shortens the distance between us and deaf people.
