Mission starts “across the street”

I am a long-time reader of Kingdom of God magazine. After reading the article "Dear Amigo, call this place home" in the 33rd issue of "Kingdom Community", I was very moved. I am a New Jersey resident and am no stranger to the Koreatown mentioned in this article. But I never knew that there was a Korean pastor (Pastor Lee Dong-soo) who preached on the streets and had a special burden for Hispanics. What is even more valuable is that when the new pastor of the Korean church no longer supported this ministry, Pastor Li not only did not give up, but finally successfully knocked on the door of the Chinese First Presbyterian Church.

Thank you for this article, which allows us to reflect more deeply on how to love our neighbors. Missionary missions do not just go to other places, but start "across the street." I think I should also take some action. I am willing to donate a small amount to Pastor Li's ministry. Thank you for the email provided by your magazine. Thank you again to our Father in Heaven for your hard work.

Energetic little warrior

"Primary school students serve as church hosts?" "There are 1,500 congregants, with an average age of 16 years old." The Chungli Truth Church in Taiwan introduced in the "Kingdom Community" section of the 33rd issue of your magazine really opened my eyes. I also learned that the vastness of God’s kingdom and the rules of God’s work are really beyond the imagination of an old Christian like me who has stayed in my comfort zone in North America for many years. I was surprised and shocked by Pastor Lin Xiongjian's "critical 5:30 am morning prayer meeting" and his perseverance and enthusiasm in pursuing love for the Lord. If I have the opportunity to return to Taiwan to visit my relatives, I would like to visit the "Zhongli Truth Church" and see that group of young Christian soldiers who are full of energy and love God and people.

Revitalizing young people is now

Before reading this article "Bringing up the young, passing on love", I had been on a short missionary trip to Taiwan, where I personally participated in the teachings of the "Gender Education Course" of the Zhongli Truth Church to help young people build a holy character. I have personally witnessed that this church team has created a large group of all-round young CEOs. From morning prayers, worship, joyful character teaching, service and community care ministries, God’s glory is demonstrated everywhere. It is touching and thank God!

Lin Xiongjian's "Pastor Grandpa" pays special attention and care to those disadvantaged families with absent parents, intergenerational upbringing, and many problems. He reaches out to these children and teenagers through the "Taoyuan County Neighbor Love Association", an organization established by the church, and leads volunteers to become the companions and mentors of poor children in their lives to avoid the risk of going astray. He brings up the young with his elders, and influences lives with his life, turning individuals and families upside down, and making life full of the melody of love.

"Taoyuan County Neighborhood Association" is promoting the "333 Rescue Project for Poor Children" to help children escape the shackles of poverty and have a better tomorrow! Those who are moved and want to know more information can go online and click on www.tylyna.org (Taoyuan County Neighborhood Association) "I want to donate - 333 rescue poor children project". Challenging the forefront of pop culture

Pastor Su Wen'an, the pastor of literature, is once again striking out with his pen. Water Margin, Journey to the West, Red Mansions, Three Kingdoms, Jin Yong's martial arts works, and this year "For Love, the Emperor is also Crazy!" 〉Reviewing the TV series "The Legend of Zhen Huan", Reverend Su really traveled through the past and present and challenged the forefront of popular culture!

The first association of "The Legend of Zhen Huan" is "talking about love between men and women from the perspective of human nature", pointing out that although you and I are common people, because we can choose dedicated love and marriage, we have become happier people than emperors and concubines! Wow, what a profound analysis! Can't wait to read other great reviews.

First Generation Christians vs. Traditional Funerals

"Mission Impossilble?" in the cultural section of the 33rd issue of your magazine. Divine power! 〉What a shocking story.

As the respondent Ms. Wang Lanxin said, when we look at and deal with things, we are too often limited by the appearance and fail to grasp the essence. Therefore, we often put the cart before the horse and hurt ourselves and others. The sentence in the story, "It is important to perform funeral rituals, but isn't fulfilling the greatest wish of the ancestors the true filial piety?" goes to the core and is shocking.

This is a must-read story for many Christians who still have unbelieving family members.

A creative paradise team

The report on Zhongli Truth Hall in the last issue of the community unit "Bringing up the big to the small and passing on with love" was really inspiring and refreshing. It turns out that children and teenagers can also become the main force in church service; it turns out that pastoral care and missionary work can be so strategic and creative! I applaud Pastor Lin Xiongjian, his wife, and their heavenly team.

More blessed to give than to receive

When I received an email from Pastor Chen Rongjue of Taiwan and read the report "Dear Amigo, Call This Home Home" in the community section of the 33rd issue of "Kingdom of God", I was filled with gratitude. Thank you to the Lord for using "Kingdom of God" to spread God's wonderful deeds everywhere; thank you even more to the Lord for inspiring us through the encouragement of the pastor in the Lord.

Yes, it has been 23 years since I immigrated to the United States and I have served in the First Presbyterian Church of New Jersey for more than 13 years. I firmly believe that the Lord is the head of the church. There are many immigrants from all over the world in the United States. Many immigrants came to know the Lord Jesus and became children of God only after entering the church in the United States. When churches of new immigrants take root and grow in the United States, there are always obstacles and obstacles, and everything is difficult at the beginning. Churches established by new immigrants often have to negotiate with local churches and share chapels. However, due to individualism and human limitations, disharmony is inevitable.

Thank the Lord that in 1996, when I was still an intern in the seminary, I served in a multicultural church (the same church spoke four languages: Chinese, English, Korean, and Spanish). I really saw each other sharing and accepting each other. of beauty. At that time, I was deeply moved and hoped that the church would be open to the community. No matter what language someone in the community spoke, I prayed that the Lord would prepare the church to establish ministries for these ethnic groups. Because of this concept and experience, our church is very blessed. Prayer meetings in different languages, various missionary courses and language learning classes are held almost every night. Giving is more blessed than receiving. The Lord Jesus is the head of the church, and we are all passers-by. If the church has a landlord, it is the Lord Jesus, and we are all tenants!

So for the past thirteen years, we have shared together the chapel that God prepared for us in 1919. It is so wonderful! Because God loves the world, so should we. Amen!
