When I was reading the "Special Topic on Evangelism to Parents" in Kingdom of God magazine, I was waiting at the airport for my flight back to China to visit my elderly mother. Thank God, it was so timely! I read the three articles on the topic - Pastoral, Family and Parents in one go, and then I closed the book and thought about it. It was really beneficial! In particular, the pastor's chapter "Using Parables to Preach the Gospel" is full of heavenly wisdom. I read it several times and really wanted to memorize the entire article so that I can use it flexibly. This issue of Kingdom of God magazine allowed me to return home with some confidence and start preaching the gospel. Thank God, in the short six days I was at home, my mother's perspective changed for the better. There is still a long way to go, but this is a great start!

Thank you very much for the reminder of this article. After reading it, my heart suddenly became enlightened. Although I don’t have much money in the bank, I feel like I am really rich! Because I have faith and hope, and the Lord Jesus is my treasure.

Don’t lose heart because of the promise

My mother lived alone, and my brothers and sisters and I often visited her. Thank God for placing many caring friends around her. Although she lives alone, she is not lonely. But I am the only daughter in my family who believes in the Lord. Every time I talk to my mother about faith issues, she always avoids it. I really don’t know how to preach the gospel to her, but I really hope in my heart that my mother can accept and understand the Lord Jesus like me. of salvation.

The community unit's "You and Your Family Will Be Saved" gave me great encouragement. Over the years, my mother’s attitude of not wanting to talk about faith has really discouraged me. But since God has given me such a promise, why should I give up on my own? I will continue to pray, not only for my ninety-year-old mother, but also for my brothers and sisters.
