The theme of love
讀了《神國》雜誌60期滋恩所撰〈寫給傑克,白噪音讀後感〉一文,心有戚戚焉。
We live in an era of information explosion. Whether active or passive, life is filled with all kinds of information, so loud that it is difficult to distinguish between true and false. When we process this huge amount of information, our body and mind are in extreme confusion, so that we feel anxious and hesitant, and even fall into deep despair.
Zi En's writing is delicate and narrated in a second-person conversational style. His emotions are sincere and concise, and he breaks through the dilemmas faced by people at the bottom of life. It also reminds us that as Christians in the Internet age, we must strive to penetrate the white noise and convey the "main melody of God's love" to the world.

在絲路上遇見誰—永遠的Captain Yang
讀到62期張聖華所寫的〈Who did I meet on the Silk Road?〉,我深有感觸。2019年夏天透過「伯特利中心」創辦人黃明發弟兄的引介,我獨自一人來到吉爾吉斯旅宣14天,期間我參觀了楊嘉善長老於17年間在該國創立的五所基督教中小學及孤兒院。
North American Christians are no stranger to Elder Yang. He is a visionary and courageous legendary Chinese missionary to Central Asia. At the age of 72, he began to teach and teach, so that Muslim children could understand and respect the teachings of the Bible. Elder Yang passed away in 2017. Through chatting with several co-workers of the foundation, I learned some short stories about him. The co-workers called him "Eternal Captain Yang".
In the past decade, Central Asian countries and other Muslim countries have stopped issuing missionary visas. During my travel missionary journey, I also witnessed business as missionary becoming the main missionary strategy here. I hope to see more “Captain Yang” on the missionary silk road in the future, so that the missionary seeds planted by Elder Yang in Kyrgyzstan can continue to sprout and grow.

Become a messenger of peace in troubled times
Having lived in the United States for many years, I have never intertwined my ideals and emotions with various elections, but the 2020 presidential election has made me confused and excited. Before and after the election, all kinds of news about presidential candidates and parties flooded my messaging software and social media every day, regardless of whether I was willing to accept it or whether I was on the same side.
I scoured the Internet for information about the candidates, trying to find out whether the sources were trustworthy. Many such information originates from platforms with ulterior motives. After being reposted and reposted, it flows like an undercurrent in the communication communities of Chinese Christians. After receiving the same information many times, some people believe it to be true and add fuel to the fire to expand the undercurrent of false information.
At the time of writing this response, just after demonstrators broke into the US Congress, social platforms were filled with various messages. I very much agree with what the author mentioned in the article, "Not every social movement is constructive, and many social movements misunderstand the meaning of freedom." The author believes that the core spirit of democracy is "responsibility", even at the cost of life, rather than Freedom to cause trouble.
Of course, not every participant is like this, so we cannot generally assume that all participants are rioters, but such free and riotous behavior is an irresponsible attitude.
Christians should be peacemakers. In this chaotic world, there are many challenges to being a peacemaker. Ask God to give us wisdom so that we can distinguish truth from falsehood and not follow the tricks and deceptions of this generation. Pray that God will teach us what justice is in the eyes of Jesus.
