Experience the Father's mighty power alongside mission workers.
I was once a loyal reader of your magazine, but after moving abroad, I could no longer receive the physical copies. As a result, I went through a period without being able to read the KRC Magazine properly. Recently, when I opened the digital edition, my heart was filled with immense excitement and gratitude. After all, having followed over sixty issues, I consider myself a devoted KRC fan. Deep down, I have always found joy in and remained sensitive to the power of words. Seeing KRC grow richer and more diverse with each issue, I couldn't help but pick up my pen to express my sincere appreciation to the dedicated editorial team behind the scenes. Thank you for your faithfulness in this ministry of words. Season after season, for more than a decade, you have tirelessly presented readers with spiritual feasts — and for that, I am deeply grateful!
I was particularly impressed by the "Kingdom Neighbors" section in issue 75, titled "May I Ask if You Will Return? New missionary Xiao Yin’s letters home for four seasons" Through the seasonal scenes presented in Xiao Yin's writing, I gained a glimpse into understanding that a missionary's life is about living authentically in the place where the Heavenly Father leads them, living alongside the locals, and immersing themselves in the environment. As the author mentions, it's about "contextualization" and "becoming all things to all people." The various vivid examples in the text also gave me a slight sense of the diverse aspects of missionary workers in distant lands. They are not only in Jerusalem and throughout Judea, but also in Samaria and to the ends of the earth where the Heavenly Father sends them, serving as light, salt, and witnesses for the Father.
I am truly happy for the author—being able to connect with local friends so soon after arriving in the mission field is a blessing. I sincerely look forward to reading more life stories of missionaries, allowing my heart and eyes, as an old believer, to experience the Father’s mighty power alongside those laboring in the field. Though not everyone can step onto the frontlines, through the inspiration of words, we too can be stirred by the Lord in our own mission fields, rising up to shine for Him. Be the light wherever you are.
Undeniably, natural disasters, human conflicts, violence, and deceptive news flood our world. As Christians, living amidst such turmoil, we may inevitably feel discouraged and uncertain about how to respond.
Issue 77 of the KRC Magazine, "After the Grand Gathering", gave me a sense of encouragement and hope. Indeed, it is precisely because our generation is shrouded in darkness that we are needed more than ever—to shine light and bring warmth to those around us through grace-filled words, truthful actions, and a heart of compassion in the places where we are called to be.
