Vision and Mission Seen from Father’s Love

My father, Pastor Gao Yaomin, passed away peacefully at his home in New York on Christmas morning in 2023, and returned to the home of his heavenly Father who loves him.

I must admit that it is the most beautiful thing to be with the Lord knowing that he has been relieved of the illness that has plagued him for many years. But I, who was pampered by my father from childhood to old age, lost the father who loved me the most on earth. I still cannot recover from such grief and loss.

I miss him so much that I allow myself some moments every day to be immersed in sadness and memories, and experience the indescribable emotions of sadness and joy. I am grateful to be his daughter, and I can see the profound influence he has had on me in all aspects.

My father grew up in a family that loved the Lord devoutly, served beyond denominations, and had the kingdom in mind. He embarked on the path of preaching and was affirmed, supported and encouraged by his entire family. Like many preachers in his family, he chose to open up wasteland in remote and backward rural areas when he was young, and pastored churches of different denominations in various places, influencing countless lives. My father was loyal, loved the Lord, and kept his promises; he valued his family, and his love for his mother was firm and gentle. He upholds justice and never compromises; he is honest and upright and cannot tolerate hypocrisy, lies and deceitful behavior. He is generous to others, and when he is derogated or misunderstood by others, he often chooses to withhold forgiveness and not complain on his own behalf. My father is very witty and can resolve many embarrassing situations with humor. He is versatile and loves singing and painting.

During the moment of meditation, I realized that the original vision and mission of "Resources for the Kingdom of God for Christ" were shaped by several generations. What KRC constantly emphasizes is: the kingdom of God; the gospel and culture of the kingdom of heaven; God creates each unique individual; rich life; continuous breakthroughs, challenges, and exerting influence; and pondering innate talents to serve the Lord. All this is reflected in the wonderful characters in the family. I understand—when we are truly connected to the Lord, we will be able to have beautiful connections with others and have a harmonious relationship with all of God’s creations. It is inevitable that we will bear fruit!

In 2024, based on three scriptures: John 15:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Psalm 50:10-11, KRC’s annual theme is"God is like me, connected in many ways, and bearing many good fruits.". Let us encourage each other to connect with the Lord and others; to be at peace with the land and creation; and to count the good fruits together at the end of the year.

In 2023, KRC encountered repeated financial crises, which were so urgent that the ministry could hardly continue. We immediately let everyone know about the need and prayed urgently. The team decided not to look at the wind and waves, but to focus on the Lord and faithfully stick to the work in hand. Thank you for spending 2023. The current finances can probably be maintained until the first half of 2024. The pressure is always there. Please pray that the Lord will continue to provide all the needs. We also sincerely invite you to participate in KRC’s ministry, whether it is donating, praying, or attending camps. I believe God will double it. Bless you.

After focusing on watching and understanding how the Lord adjusts our ministry, we will actively carry out online ministry. Starting from 2024, in addition to paper magazines, the written ministry will also add audio and video to create a media that is closer to life and readers, allowing readers to read at any time on mobile phones and tablets. In addition, we hope to carry out writing, communication and other workshops in various churches.

I wish everyone a wonderful and rich 2024 because of KRC!
