2017 Taiwan KRC Camp Experience Report

What exactly is the appeal of KRC (Kingdom Resources for Christ) camps?

Why can we continue to hold cultural practice camps in Taiwan for nine years?

What is the difference between KRC and camps organized by other units or churches?

And do I have to participate? !

This is a question that my husband, Oliver, and I have asked each other and answered to many people over the past three years! After these days, we finally have the answer: as long as you are willing to come to KRC and work together with everyone, you can receive God’s love and understand the Lord’s will.

In 2015, at the invitation of Elder Lin Yuanshang, we participated in the KRC cultural camp at Star of David in Yilan. It felt good and we met many great teachers and alumni. A few days after the camp ended, I took my relatives, friends and church members to the "Harbin Dumplings" restaurant to introduce KRC teacher Zhang Tongning and her husband Song Zhongkui to everyone, and also enjoyed the delicious food. Later, Oliver saw from the "Kingdom of God" magazine that the author wrote carefully and shared a lot of professional knowledge, and his heart was filled with excitement. Especially after reading Professor Wen Yingqian's article, he browsed the Internet for information about Professor Wen, and then went to the Crown Association to participate in a full year of financial management courses, including "A Lifelong Service to the Kingdom of God" and "Steward Leadership Course".

In 2016, my husband and I were invited to participate in the KRC cultural camp again, this time joining the core co-worker team from students. Perhaps we wanted to serve everyone with the high standards of corporate training, so during those three days and two nights we almost didn’t attend classes, we were all serving. Therefore, we didn’t leave a special impression on the camp courses, and later we quit the group due to busy work schedules.

But God’s thoughts are higher than human thoughts! We never expected that we would meet Elder Lin at the Crown International Conference, and with his renewed encouragement, we would return to KRC to participate in ministry. Later I learned that many people in the United States and Taiwan were praying for us. Thank you Lord for giving us the opportunity to come back to receive God’s grace and seek first the kingdom of God and God’s righteousness!

In March 2017, thanks to the trust and appreciation of KRC founder Mr. Gao Lili and many directors and supervisors, Oliver was appointed as the conference chairman and general convener of the camp. Thank God for listening to everyone’s prayers. After visiting many camp locations and on-the-spot investigation and understanding, the conference venue was chosen at the Desire Park in Longtan, Taoyuan. Arrangements for lecturers, equipment, publicity, and registration were all completed as scheduled under God’s leadership. .

Here, let us count the Lord’s grace together:

1. Core co-workers work together as one

The co-workers have gone from strangers to familiarity, from alienation to closeness. Everyone is serving the Lord with great emotion, just like a child offering his five loaves and two fishes. "Energy" and "the mission will be fulfilled" are the descriptions of this group of lovely co-workers. best words. Everyone has to go to work during the day, so the co-worker unions only start after ten o'clock in the evening. Oliver puts the topics on the Internet in advance, so that everyone can discuss them together, and then meet online in the evening. Sometimes the discussions are heated until the early morning!

During this period, we often prayed for the needs of our co-workers, and everyone encouraged each other in the Lord. God helps us love one another, live a concrete life of loving our neighbor, and receive God’s promised blessings and grace through intercession!

2. Rely on the Lord to win under huge pressure

Since half of the alumni who were originally expected to sign up were temporarily unable to participate, the organizers had to face the pressure of seeking compensation from the park for breach of contract, as well as the invisible pressure of everyone's expectations!

I remember that in the last month, we prayed more urgently every day, went to many units to introduce the camp one by one, accepted interviews on several programs of "Good News Radio" and publicity in the "Tribune"... Thanks to the Lord and everyone’s urgent prayers, nearly 150 people participated in this camp. The Desire Park also provided a lot of assistance, adding many testimonies of gratitude to this camp.

3. Curriculum and Classroom Arrangement

The lecturers are all working or serving in various countries, and sometimes there are problems such as network reception. Thank you Lord, everyone is tolerant and considerate of each other, so although the process has had many twists and turns, everything can be arranged in time.

4. Colorful workshops

1. "Love Leadership and Coaching Leadership" Workshop. The two classes of Teacher Gao Lili and Professor Chen Henglin took classes together. In addition to teaching and solving puzzles, there were also field exercises and movie appreciation. The students were very excited!
2. "Financial Planning Workshop". The class is jointly taught by Professor Wen Yingqian and Pan Huating. It is humorous, professional and life-oriented, and uses games to let students understand the importance of investment and financial management.
3. "Watching movies and learning to tell family stories" workshop. Taught by teacher Su Wen'an and assistant teacher Li Wenping, students can not only enjoy watching a selection of good movies, but also learn the skills of telling family stories through in-depth appreciation. There are also good opportunities to practice writing every day, and they can choose to do after-school homework after the meeting. All teachers gave careful comments and guidance.
4. "Singing on the Tree of Life" workshop. Teacher Chen Yihao teaches, and students are immersed in music and bel canto in every class. The creative thoughts and God’s grace shared by Teacher Yihao are very touching!
5. "Gourmet Workshop". Enjoying delicious food is one of the greatest pleasures in life. Teacher Zhang Tongning, who has practiced medicine for many years, changed from holding a scalpel to a kitchen knife and guided with love, patience and care. The hot delicacies served by the students made other alumni salivate and want to eat with their index fingers.
6. Professional interviews and individual services. Thanks to Teacher Li Li for arranging a personal visit time so that students who need to know more about leadership or business operations can have their wishes fulfilled. Teachers Guo Yuanpei and Liu Yongling also provide personal visiting services for students who need counseling and counseling.

5. The Lord Himself Prepares “Children’s Camp” Teachers

We do not rely on power or ability, but we must rely on the Spirit of the Lord to accomplish anything! (See Zechariah 4:6) Although the teacher we originally invited was unable to match us for some reason, unexpectedly one day at the end of August, God moved us to make another trip to the Desire Park that we didn’t need to do again. After meeting with the staff of the museum, we followed our emotions and went to the underground shopping street to visit the teacher of the painting studio in the first room. She took us to the nearby "Youji Kuai Chao Shop" to meet the proprietress. During this period, I prayed silently, hoping that Christians came to serve as teachers for this children's camp.

thank God! After praying, I saw many gospel books and tracts at the door of the store. After asking, I learned that the owner of the store, Lu Yaling, is a sister who loves the Lord. She works as a teacher in school and is currently studying in a seminary. God asked her and her husband, brother Tang Yiyuan, to come to a nearby community to preach the gospel in August. In this way, they became our children's camp teachers, and all the students attending the meeting were very happy. One of the students, whose father had just passed away, not only performed well in the camp, but also wrote a thank-you card to the teachers after the meeting, thanking them for allowing her to have a happy children's camp, which moved the teacher to tears.

6. God regulates all things

Since a small number of students who attended the class were transferred to another class on the day of the camp, and we hope that all students can get the completion certificate and group photo of the workshop they participated in, the administrative staff rushed to work overnight. Thank the Lord, there was a photocopying vendor willing to wait for our files at one o'clock in the morning.

The next morning, when we were sorting out the certificates and certificates of appreciation in the conference room, we prayed silently and asked God to move the teacher to come here to sign... Wow! One by one, teachers came in one after another! Let us marvel at the power of God!

This camp also broke even. I would like to express my special thanks to every alumni who has made selfless contributions. I firmly believe that God will repay you!

7. The finale of the camp

At the end of the camp, KRC Taiwan specially formed a pastoral team to call and ordain Professor Wen Yingqian as the workplace missionary pastor sent by KRC! Professor Wen has served as the Chairman of the KRC Board of Directors for more than ten years. In addition to preaching on behalf of KRC, he has also become an elder brother and role model to all co-workers in various aspects. I hope that he will receive more abundant authority from heaven and have a more profound influence on lives everywhere.

8. Thank you to every angel

Thank you to all the teachers and alumni who participated. Everyone worked together to make this camp a successful conclusion. Thanks to the co-workers who took the initiative to prepare before the meeting and deal with the aftermath after the meeting. Thank the Lord that this year our co-workers will have the opportunity to attend classes and study!
