There is an account in Kingdom of God
a real life testimony
Dear KRC readers and cultural practice camp students:
I would like to share a real life testimony with you. At Christmas in 2009, my wife and I asked our children if they would donate the money spent on gifts to those in need. In other words, there will be no Christmas gifts this year! Unexpectedly, my thirteen-year-old daughter actually agreed to return a $300 Christmas gift (a digital camera) and use the money to help those in need.
We, the couple, were very touched because this camera was an expensive gift that we had waited until our daughter’s birthday in February last year until December, and we only agreed to buy it on the condition that she agreed to “join the church’s youth choir and attend a Chinese school.” . I didn’t expect that she would be willing to give up! In my daughter's mind, the weight of these three hundred dollars is like three thousand dollars or even thirty thousand dollars in the eyes of us adults...
We asked our daughter why she was willing to do this? She said, "I already have what I need. Wouldn't it be more meaningful to use my money to help people in need?" My daughter decided to donate money to Africa at that time, but we said that she has already donated a fixed amount to Africa every month. Children, can you donate this amount to KRC (Kingdom Resources for Christ)? Because KRC has helped my father and mother grow a lot, and cultural ministry has always received little attention and dedication. The daughter did not agree on the spot.
The next morning, she came to our room and told us that she had been thinking about it all night and didn't know where to send the money, so she was willing to donate three hundred dollars to KRC. Finally, she said: "Please mom, please don't secretly save money for my college tuition, and you can't save it to pay for a plane ticket back to Taiwan next year! You have to give it all away..." Finally she He asked us again: "Isn't the three hundred US dollars too little for KRC and not very helpful?"
We hugged her and said, "No, it won't be too little. Father God depends on our hearts..." We are grateful to Almighty God for loving our family so much and choosing us so that our children can have this intention. Therefore, I am writing this letter to appeal to all KRC readers and cultural practice camp students. I hope you can be inspired by this 13-year-old girl's advice and be willing to donate money to help cultural ministries that need help most!
As far as I know, KRC currently has no regular church or institutional support, and the magazine still owes more than $8,000. Instead of keeping money in our personal accounts, it is better to invest it in the account of the Kingdom of God to achieve greater results, and then watch how the Lord of abundant life pours out blessings from top to bottom, shaking to the ground...
Best wishes The cup of blessing overflows!
