Finding Neighbors

In early October, a shooting incident in Las Vegas that shocked the world just occurred. More than 20,000 innocent people were enjoying country music in the square. Suddenly, there was a burst of machine gun fire. In an instant, more than 50 lives were lost and more than 500 people were injured. Big changes since then. This was a safe place, but it became a burial place!

Evil is often right in front of us. Facing this era, we must always be vigilant. As early as the beginning of the year, as we witnessed the increasing divisions and mutual hostility around the world, we remembered a command that God has repeatedly commanded through the Bible—to love your neighbor as yourself. Therefore, we decided that this year’s annual theme is “Love Neighbor Mobilization.” . Luke Chapter 10 records that the lawyer challenged Jesus and asked about the definition of "neighbor". Jesus told a subversive parable. Those who were supposed to do good and help did not do anything, but the most despised Samaritan at that time was Great good man. What happened to Jesus? He seems to deliberately use an extreme and subversive way to make us face the pride and prejudice in our hearts. GK Chesterton, a well-known British writer, said: "The Bible commands us to love our neighbors, but it also requires us to love our enemies, perhaps because neighbors and enemies are often the same person."

The Las Vegas shooting makes it difficult to understand why such a hateful and evil thing could happen. However, God the Father’s command is clear, that we should love our neighbor. When Christians generally live a life of love for their neighbors and practical actions, it will affect the entire world.

The Kingdom of God Cultural Practice Camp has gone through various difficulties over the years, but it has always maintained its characteristics that are different from ordinary retreats - providing a variety of practical courses, integrating spiritual cultivation, training, and leisure. For more than ten years, we will never let a person who really wants to participate but can't afford not be able to come. We hope that people who have experienced God's grace will support and help each other. When we follow the call of God the Father and move forward boldly, He will provide. At the end of September, a couple among us donated a large sum of money to make up for the huge financial gap of the camp. They said, "Since we have already suffered such a huge loss, we should quickly clear out everything we have left and dedicate it to the Lord, lest we end up with nothing left and unable to dedicate it!" And another sister, her career has recently fallen into a deep crisis. Despite the difficult situation, he donated a large check and attached a note saying: "Please pray for me, I need God's help." My heart was greatly moved! Indeed, God will use the dedication of those who have faith to allow them to experience the heavenly blessings He bestows!

This year’s Kingdom of God camp was held in Boston for the first time. The challenge was so great that we were almost discouraged. But just like in previous years, the sharings of many brothers and sisters inspired me. A single-parent sister was unemployed for two years and just found a job this year. When she learned about the Kingdom of God camp, she immediately asked her boss for unpaid leave to attend. During the camp, her commitment and enthusiasm infected everyone, including me. Members of the English department of Kingdom of God magazine also gave me great reminders and encouragement. Their average age is less than 25 years old. They come from five states on the east and west coasts of the United States. They are of Asian, European and African descent. They are half brothers and half sisters. They have gathered all kinds of gifts and talents they need. Their professional backgrounds include economics and social sciences. , theology, philosophy, nutrition, food, design, English, linguistics, website design, musical instrument performance, etc., they had in-depth discussions on the future English website and various upcoming ministries and began to carry out, and carried out various Most older Christians are less concerned with theological and social issues than most older Christians. In them, I see inheritance and the future.

Of course, what excites the Kingdom of God co-workers the most is the discussions on digital ministry presented by Executive Editor Sister Li Wenping at KRC Night, seeking more effective communication methods in response to changes in technology and reading habits. KRC ministry is facing new directions and opportunities, and we are full of expectations.

"Kingdom of God" magazine was launched at the end of 2004 and has gone all the way to the 50th issue. From less than 2,000 copies to the current 5,000 copies, Pastor Su Wen'an leads an editor composed of volunteers and one or two contract colleagues. The team, without any long-term support from any company or church, constantly comes to the Father, begging God to lead us in the direction of our route, to give us inspiration and writing power, and to give us the talents and money we need, adhering to what the magazine emphasizes. Seven characteristics: forward-looking power, challenging power, breakthrough power, practical power, knowledge power, motivation and action power. We ensure that the content and text of every article have been carefully thought, planned and revised. Every time we face various bottlenecks, whether it’s subject matter, talent, or money, we pray and call on God together. Over the past decade or so, we have experienced Father God’s faithful guidance and provision.

From the beginning of the magazine to the present, we have searched for a theme together every year, asking God to allow us to humbly accept the theme inspired by the Holy Spirit in prayer, Bible reading and life, explore, think together, and find ways to act, striving to understand the theme through Examine various issues through the perspective of heavenly values, call and remind Christians and churches to pay attention, and look forward to offering sacrifices to God by “doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God.” In the past, we have discussed the great things that God has done in different countries and regions, as well as the many inequities and injustices that exist among us, such as universal poverty, human trafficking, marginalization of indigenous peoples around the world, uneven distribution of property, various societies Marginal people and so on. We are also willing to try to have a keen insight into the various phenomena occurring in the current society, analyze and discuss through the cultural value system of the Kingdom of Heaven, and seek a position on faith and codes of conduct.

Over the years, the financial settlement has always been very critical at the end of each year. In the face of our urgent prayers, the Lord has provided wonderful guidance every year, allowing us to pay off our ministry debt and move forward into the new year. This year, we also implore you before the Lord to remember the needs of KRC ministry and experience His riches with us!
