[2014 KRC Pennsylvania Camp Report] 2 Encouragement and expectations from founder Gao Lili

Dear everyone:

Since 1999, we have gathered together in Pennsylvania to practice spirituality, worship, study, teach, and serve each other. For fifteen years, we have witnessed the power of God together. Every summer I see you in the camp, your life is revived, your talents are discovered, new gifts are developed, your vision and vitality are expanded, and new ministries are launched. I often receive letters from students who mention how they have started new ministries in their families, churches, and communities, and they are deeply moved and inspired.

Before this year’s camp, we thought that the number of applicants was too small and the financial burden would increase; we thought that the documentary appreciation and production classes would be cancelled; we thought that only a few people signed up for the Young Leaders English Camp; and we thought that we would disappoint the teachers. Just like in the past, God still called people to come in the last period, and old friends and new friends gathered together to experience a wonderful and incredible camp. Once again, God answered our prayers!

I always feel that God does not need us to help Him accomplish anything. Deep down in my heart, I even think that every summer gathering is for God to inspire us and make us regain our strength. Through the camp, my abilities have been increased and my vision has been sharpened; therefore, I continue to move forward into the new year with strength.

However, as co-workers said, KRC is already fifteen years old and must transform from the stature of a teenager to a more mature stage. We need to reorganize, focus and update, and design different types of camps. After much prayer and discussion, this year’s Pennsylvania camp will be the last summer camp. We decided to hold spiritual workshops from Thursday to Sunday in March 2015, focusing on several practical workshop themes. The campground is still under consultation. Please pray that God will give us a spiritual "Garden of Eden" with beautiful scenery and affordable price. I hope that the Holy Spirit will guide KRC on the road ahead, but there is no doubt that Christ will lead us into His fullness. Thank you all for walking side by side with me for fifteen precious years. I look forward to walking and working with God with you until the end.
