Let’s meet to move towards a bright life

【2011 KRC Alumni Association and Seminar Report】

In early March every year, Kingdom Resources holds a three-day class reunion for the Christian Council (KRC) in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The first two days were wonderful seminars, and the third day was a reunion day for the KRC family.

The theme of the seminar is "Bright Life". The speakers are Andrew Chua, a handsome guy from Hong Kong, and Julieann Opatz, a beautiful sister from New Mexico. During the conversation, I learned that he had worked in the global management system of HSBC for more than 20 years. Now he has left his high-paying position and moved with his wife and three sons from London, England to Hong Kong to realize his "bright life" dream!

Personality analysis and aptitude analysis

Before the workshop begins, you must take two interesting questionnaires. The first item is "Character Analysis". We learned:

1. People with a developed left front brain are good at logical analysis and are thinking types.
2. People with a developed left back brain are good at following rules and are action-oriented.
3. People with a developed right front brain are good at imaginative design and are intuitive.
4. People with a developed right back brain are good at building relationships and are sensory types.

After completing the questionnaire, you will know which is your dominant brain area (the strongest), your secondary brain area (the second strongest), and your weakest brain area.

The teachers analyze the daily habits and preferences of people with four personalities. For example, people with a strong right brain and a weak left brain will feel more energetic if they start planning how to build relationships with others when they wake up early in the morning. But if you force yourself to clean the yard when you get up early in the morning, you will feel that you have to work hard every day, and your life is boring! Another example is, when dealing with people with a developed left back brain, it is best to dress up neatly, show up on time, explain the plan step by step, and don't make unrealistic decisions...

The second questionnaire is "Aptitude Analysis". When finished, the computer will list the twenty-four aptitudes in order of strength. These twenty-four dispositions can be divided into six categories: wisdom and knowledge, courage to face difficulties, interpersonal relationships, social justice, self-discipline, and supernatural relationships. Two teachers posted a large piece of paper on the wall, with four brain regions as the vertical axis and twenty-four sexual orientations as the horizontal axis, with a total of ninety-six squares. They asked each student to write their name on six pieces of colored paper, and paste the colored papers into the squares on the large paper according to their dominant brain areas and five strongest aptitudes. Suddenly, the talent distribution map of KRC was drawn.

Life Milestones and Central Values

Each person draws four to five important stages in his or her past life on a large piece of paper. What important people and events were there in that stage? What positive or negative impact did they have on themselves, and what life lessons did they learn? To shape those aptitudes and abilities? After finishing the work, groups of three to five people share with each other, and the teacher also joins in the interaction. Following the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he gives insightful suggestions and comments. It is really endlessly useful!

The group then went on to share the three most meaningful things in each other’s lives. Choose one event as a representative and write the nouns and verbs related to this event on a large piece of paper. After careful consideration, this large list of words was summarized into three most important words. The two teachers discussed and discussed with each student, and tailored a word or phrase from each student's words and thoughts. That is our core value and future life indicator!

Remove obstacles and bravely realize your dreams

Before you can realize your dream, you must first remove the obstacles. These obstacles are the monsters in your heart. The teachers brought out bottles of clay and asked us to shape these mental obstacles. I saw everyone squeezing the clay and playing with it thoughtfully, and the clay monsters came out one by one. The students divided into groups to discuss their life experiences of dancing with monsters, prayed for each other, and asked God to help us overcome these obstacles and move forward in the direction of making our dreams come true.

During a quiet moment, the students pulled their imaginations out of the current time and space, and wandered out of their minds. Imagine yourself leaving the earth and being in the vast universe. Time flies, and I imagine myself ten years from now; my appearance, hair, clothes, scenes, conversation content...all appear in my mind. Then, each student used several colored pens to draw their future selves in the center. Around them, draw pictures of your gifts, talents, level of life, work and service, etc. based on your imagination or feelings at the time. After you finish drawing, share the disk diagram of your dream life with other group members.

After returning home, I looked at my name tag and reviewed my study notes, feeling full of joy in my heart! This time is really not in vain. You can start to develop your dreams and mission and move towards tomorrow! In just over a day, we can really return to our original nature, find ourselves, and more clearly determine the core value of life and the steps to be taken in the future, towards a bright life!
