A refreshing spiritual journey

Organizing/Oh Shin-hye

The Italian Renaissance trip to the Kingdom of God, which has been planned for three years, finally started on March 16, 2017, as everyone has been eagerly anticipating, to embark on a cultural trip that broadens the mind and horizons. The group members set out from Taiwan, China and the United States to embark on this special journey with different expectations. Gao Lili, the founder of the "God's Kingdom Resources for Christ Association", leads the daily morning sharing. Artist Zhou Lanhui, who lives in the United States, explains and guides the art attractions visited by the group. Every member of the group has been touched by God in a corner of their heart - in the scenic spots, Appreciating art, sharing morning updates, eating delicious food or capturing beautiful scenery.

The following is shared by teacher Zhou Lanhui and some team members:

Let’s start with drinking water—Lan Hui’s warm little sharing

There is no doubt about the richness of art in this Renaissance journey. For example, Giotto’s private chapel in Padua and Brother Angelico’s two frescoes in the convent of San Marco in Florence should be Attractions that are generally untouched by tourists. I’m so grateful that I can share my favorites with the group members!

Italy is a country with a very rich cultural heritage. Looking at culture from food, if nothing else, you can see how particular they are about drinking water. I noticed the design of the mineral water bottles placed on the dining room table. Each one has a unique shape. If the luggage capacity permits, I really want to pack up the empty water bottle I drank from and take it home!

▲Do you want to drink water? Do you want bubbles or no bubbles?

Life is an attitude. The city of Bologna can be said to be unique. There are cloisters everywhere. It is difficult to walk on such streets without wandering! Of course, Quiet Gusianna, who could compete with Florence, was no less generous. Sitting in the Shell Square, enjoying the gentle breeze and having a cup of afternoon tea, it is really relaxing for the body and mind! '

▲Not for wearing but for eating - chocolate.

Although technology can change life, culture can change life. Some people say that the masters of the Renaissance were inspired by God. I hope this breath will not be swallowed up by the waves of tourists, and they can continue to be tasteful and show their elegance!

‧The first time I went abroad on my own, I came to Italy because of the Renaissance. I was nervous but also full of expectations and excitement. Under the guidance of outstanding teachers and tour guides, you can absorb the essence of art and culture, just like the sun shining on the fields after the rain, allowing your vision of design and painting to grow in quality. I am grateful to God for his blessing and grace, allowing me to have such a lucky opportunity at the age of twenty. I am also grateful to KRC for its planning and dedication. May God remember it.
