Walk with God and work with others
From July 17 to 21, we went to Macau with more than 300 pastors and co-workers from Taiwan to participate inThe 7th World Chinese Evangelical Conference; This year coincides withThe 200th Anniversary of British Missionary Rev. Morrison’s Mission in China(1907-2006), which is also the 30th anniversary of the Chinese-Blessed Movement. Together with global Chinese church leaders and local service colleagues, nearly 3,000 people participated, an unprecedented scale.
During the opening ceremony, the highly respected Pastor Teng Jinhui, on behalf of the Chinese church, paid tribute to Pastor Dai Shaozeng, the representative of Western missionaries - thanking the Western missionaries for continuing to preach Christ's salvation to the land of China; the entire audience stood up and expressed their gratitude with endless applause. When Pastor Dai came on stage and said, "I was born in China, grew up in China, and I will die in China," everyone was moved! Recalling his grandfather Hudson Taylor, it is true that he has passed down the inheritance from generation to generation and devoted himself wholeheartedly to the Lord and China!
"Renewal" is the theme of this year. The new director-general, Rev. Li Xiuquan, is also one of the advisory committee members of the Kingdom Resource Center. During the inauguration ceremony, he encouragedThe beginning of renewal must start with the servants of God, from the renewal of life, society, culture to the renewal of all nations, so that "the gospel of the whole person of Christ can reach all nations."
Pastor Rick Warren, the only non-Chinese speaker, specifically mentioned in two messages that church growth must be generated by each church; institutions must be interconnected and alliances; and believers must be equipped to become missionary practitioners. At the end of the morning message, he emphasized - let us work together; at the end of the evening message, he appealed again -
We must work together!
