TC Chen, Board Member and Chairman of Development Committee
Born in Sheliao Village, Zhushan Township, Nantou County, Taiwan, T.C. graduated from the Chinese Department of Fu Jen Catholic University and attended the master's program at Fu Jen's Chinese Graduate Institute. In 1978, he went to the United States to study, pursuing an MBA for one year before starting a hotel business in Los Angeles. In 1981, T.C. moved east to Orlando, Florida, where he completed a two-year degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management at a local university. Shortly after, he built a 250-seat restaurant called Ming Garden in a tourist resort area. Five years later, he also built the 400-seat Ming Court near the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
From purchasing land to building restaurants, Mr. Chen gradually developed an interest in real estate development. In 2000, he joined the national commercial real estate company SVN International as a senior advisor, engaging in the buying, selling, and development of hotels, shopping centers, and land. Currently, T.C. is building a 160-unit vacation condominium hotel called The Reserve at Vista Cay Resort. By the grace and calling of the Lord, he also served as a board member of Ambassadors For Christ, Inc from 2014 to 2020.
In 1978, T.C. married J.J. Wu, a classmate from Fu Jen Catholic University, and they have a son named Geoff. Geoff's wife, Jiyu, is Korean, and they have a granddaughter named Autumn.
