During their wandering in the wilderness, they erected a portable tabernacle that could be taken apart and carried along; at the height of their national strength, they built the First Temple; after returning from exile, the very first thing they did was rebuild the Temple; and once the Temple was rebuilt, they turned to repairing the broken-down walls of Jerusalem.

These projects drew together a great wealth of manpower, materials, and finances. Whether it was the thread used for embroidery or the dolphin skins covering the tabernacle, whether it was the cedar wood that had to be imported or the precious metals required, whether it was the skilled craftsmen who carried out the blueprints or the governors who organized the work schedules—building materials and skilled workers were never in short supply.

These building projects also faced obstacles, both environmental and man-made, and at times the work even had to be halted. Yet God was faithful, supplying in full all the tangible and intangible resources needed, and in the end each project was completed. And even as these physical structures were being raised, God's children also needed to be built up.

This is also KRC's 2026 annual theme—our prayer is that this ministry and God's children, fixing their eyes on the faithful God's abundant provision, would be rooted in the Lord's love, renewed in strength, and rise up in hope.

In the Kingdom Stewardship section, in the article "Serving God's Kingdom Through Legal Expertise," Attorney Chen Mingli shares how, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, he has built a testimony that brings glory to God. In the Kingdom Knowledge & Practice section, in the article "The Spiritual Life of a Christian Scholar," theology professor Rev. Clement Wen observes that, whether or not one is a scholar living in the realm of the mind, every believer's spiritual life requires long-term cultivation. In the Kingdom Families section, "These Years, Walking Together with KRC" is a grateful look back by retired editor-in-chief Rev. Andrew Su and the editorial team he built, recalling the "comradeship forged in revolution" both on and off the editorial desk.

When Nehemiah heard that the holy city had lost its former glory and its walls lay in ruins, he did not remain stuck in grief—he cried out to God, and then he acted. He was not held back by the thought "this isn't my profession"—he prayed, and then he acted. In the Kingdom Neighbors section, in the article "Days Away from Church, Where Are You?" the interviewee, known as "Theology Girl," likewise saw that something was missing in the life of faith, and noticed issues within the church that ought to be discussed but were instead avoided or left unspoken because no one knew how to bring them up. So she started a podcast channel and frequently interacts with listeners and netizens on social media. The program's titles are playful, but its content is serious.

Just as Nehemiah mobilized everyone in Jerusalem—from officials to Levites to the common people—so that each person repaired a section of the wall, Theology Girl too has won the support of teachers, peers, and listeners, who have joined together with her in this work of "repair." And just as Nehemiah, amid internal discord and external opposition, never strayed from his calling, Theology Girl likewise keeps her eyes fixed on the God who is ever unchanging and faithful, thinking and asking together with fellow believers, "What does it mean to live as a Christian?"

Dear reader, are you willing to rise up and repair the section of the wall right at your own doorstep? Out of love for God, and renewed and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, KRC Magazine is willing to be a brick, a nail, in this work of rebuilding the Kingdom—rising up in hope together with you, and continuing to build.

[294
87
post-19145","article","type-article","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","issue-issue-82","section-kingdom-communication
["https://e-krc.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/wall-builder-1-1024x768.jpg",1024,768,true
["GET
